Little Elm Has Something For Everyone!Cottonwood Creek Marina
(in Cottonwood Park)
Cottonwood Creek Marina offers boat slip rentals, boat and jet-ski rentals, and a ships store that is open year round. Please note the marina does not offer public restrooms. For additional information on Cottonwood Creek Marina, please visit their website or contact them at (972) 292-1100.
Little Elm Park
(on Lake Lewisville): 701 W. Eldorado Parkway
The park includes a playground, pavilion with grill (reservations available), amphitheater (reservations available), tent camping (designated areas only and fees apply), boat ramp (fees apply), swim beach, athletic fields, hiking/biking trails, picnic areas, sand volleyball court and fishing.
Cottonwood Park
(on Lake Lewisville): 900 Lobo Lane
On the shoreline of Lake Lewisville you can enjoy picnicking at the picnic tables and fishing. There are hiking trails located just outside the entrance of the park, as well as the Cottonwood Sports Complex. The sports complex has softball and baseball fields (which are reserved for league play), and a public playground that is accessible at all times. There are public restrooms located within Cottonwood Sports Complex.
Union Park
(in the Union Park Development)
Union Park is Little Elm’s 4th major community park and its first on the University Drive (U.S. 380) corridor. Located north of U.S. 380 off Union Park Blvd, the 35 acre wooded park sits atop a hill with an open air pavilion over-looking the park.
Beard Park
(on Lake Lewsiville): 300 E Eldorado Parkway
Recently restored, Beard Park offers a full size pavilion suitable for parties and gatherings, modern restroom facilities, open spaces which maintain a natural feel, safe and sturdy play structures that mimic natural materials and a nostalgic area containing the famed log cabin. Hiking trails are planned for the park and will join those of the Lakefront Trails system, giving hikers, walkers, joggers and runners a connected series of paths they can use to customize their workouts and activities.
McCord Park
(on the eastern side of Little Elm): 2050 FM423
Located along the Cottonwood Creek floodplain on FM 423, McCord Park is a wooded 38 acre park comprised of gentle slopes, a creek, heavy tree cover, a fishing pond, and acres of open space. Amenities in the public park include hike & bike trails, an 18-hole disc golf course, fishing dock, pedestrian bridges, picnic areas, and playground.

Getting involved by volunteering is one of the fastest ways to become part of the community.There are many organizations that contribute to the quality of life by serving the needs of others.
Below is a listing of some of those groups, as well as the type of volunteers they need.
Little Elm Public Library
Volunteers are needed in a variety of areas:
- Assist with youth programs
- Repair damaged materials
- Teaching classes about popular subjects
- Assist with book processing, shelving and more

Little Elm Area Food Bank
The Food Bank relies on volunteers to:
- receive donations of food, personal care items, and baby products
- assist with stocking and organizing the pantry
- providing referral information to clients who visit the Food Bank
- pick up donations from area grocery stores, schools, churches, and businesses.
- a variety of clerical and administrative duties, expertise in fields such as public relations, grant application writing, and fundraising
